SEATTLE — The U.S. men’s national team will return to Seattle to face Belgium in a round of 16 match Monday. It’s arguably one of the biggest sporting events in Seattle’s history.

It might be one of the most expensive ones to attend, too.

The U.S.’ 2-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in the round of 32 Wednesday evening confirmed that the team would be heading back to Seattle Stadium to play for the opportunity to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

On Tuesday, fans who wanted to gamble on the U.S. making it and purchased their tickets in advance would need to spend, at minimum, just shy of $2,000 per ticket to get into the game. In the moments after the U.S.’ victory Wednesday night, tickets jumped to about $3,000 to get in the door if you buy from resellers, or $2,300 and up if you buy from FIFA’s resale marketplace.

It’s not the first time tickets to a U.S. match have been expensive in Seattle. Tickets to the U.S. vs. Australia match on June 19, started at $2,000 in the days leading up to the game.

The price of tickets for Monday’s round of 16 match started to climb when the U.S. won its first match 4-1 against Paraguay on June 12 and prices continued to rise until they reached a peak “get in” price of $3,792 on the morning of June 21, according to ticketdata.com.

This is the sixth time that the U.S. has made it to the round of 16 in a World Cup tournament. If it beats Belgium, it will be the third time in history that the U.S. has made it into the quarterfinals. The last appearance was in 2002 when South Korea and Japan hosted the World Cup. Before that, it was in 1930, when the U.S. finished third after falling to Argentina in the semifinals of the inaugural World Cup, which featured only 13 countries.

Buying tickets to the game

There are no tickets available through the FIFA last-minute sales portal.

Seatsidekick.com, a website that scrapes data from FIFA to provide information to the public, reported that there were 2,256 tickets listed for sale in the afternoon on Tuesday. That number was reportedly largely unchanged the morning of Wednesday’s matches, with the site reporting 2,233 seats still listed.

Seatsidekick.com reported 2,026 tickets were listed for Monday’s game immediately after the U.S. game ended Wednesday night.

Like the other Seattle matches, there are tickets available on other resale platforms. FIFA has encouraged fans to only buy directly from the organization.

The tables below show what the current prices on resale websites and for each category of ticket on the FIFA resale marketplace are, and how that compares to listings since yesterday.
